BTS Earns Third 2026 MTV VMA Nomination in Best Group Category
BTS has received a third nomination at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, entering the Best Group category alongside BLACKPINK, KATSEYE, and other nominees.

The group is nominated in the Best Group category, joining fellow K-pop acts BLACKPINK and KATSEYE, as well as other international artists. This brings BTS’ total number of nominations at the 2026 VMAs to three.
The group was previously nominated for:
Song of the Year for “SWIM”
Best K-Pop for “SWIM”
“SWIM” is the lead track from BTS’ fifth studio album, ARIRANG.
BTS has a strong history in the Best Group category, having won the award for four consecutive years from 2019 through 2022. The 2026 ceremony will once again place the group in a major global awards race during their ARIRANG era.
The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards are scheduled for September 27, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
